Vice President of Philanthropy, AdventHealth

Robert Wahlers, MS, CFRE is the Vice President of Philanthropy where he is leading fundraising efforts for the AdventHealth Cancer Institute, AdventHealth Research Institute and the AdventHealth Diabetes Institute. Prior to AdventHealth, Robert was the Vice President of Development for Meridian Health Affiliated Foundations where he oversaw the gift planning, annual giving and grant development programs for the eight hospitals in the Hackensack Meridian Health System. Robert has over 30 years of experience in fundraising, including working for Virtua Foundation, the American Cancer Society and the Boy Scouts of America. Robert is the author of three books on charitable gift planning and won the AFP Skystone Partners Research Award for his book titled, The Philanthropic Planning Companion. Robert has served on the Adjunct Faculty at Columbia University in their Masters Program in Nonprofit Management for the last decade. Robert also teaches Advanced Major Gifts at the AHP Madison Institute at the University of Wisconsin.
