Jon Rich, FCEP, CAP®

Managing Partner, J&J Rich GP

Jon has been an executive leader for over 30 years with extensive experience leading relational sales and philanthropy organizations. Prior to launching his own philanthropy consulting business, Jon served as the Chief Philanthropy Officer for the PKD Foundation. Jon was at ALSAC, the fundraising and awareness organization of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital where he led the Principal and Major Gift Program. During his nearly 6 year tenure he was lead architect in creating and moving the fundraisers from an impacted revenue/stewardship focused program to a structured and planned solicitation program with their prospects and donors in portfolios. This focus resulted in significant revenue growth from $26M a year when he arrived, to over $140M when he was recruited by the PKD Foundation. Prior to St. Jude, Jon was the Managing Director of Gift Planning for over 16 years at Ducks Unlimited, Inc. where he successfully restarted a dormant gift planning program into what is now a top program in the world of conservation organizations. Jon honed his relational and sales skills first as an intern then as a financial representative and manager/recruiter with Northwestern Mutual/Baird. Jon served NML/Baird proudly for 18 years. Jon holds advanced degrees and designations including CAP Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy from the American College as well as the FCEP Fellow in Charitable Estate Planning from the Charitable Estate Planning Institute.
